The Lewis Institute for Spiritual Formation

The Lewis Institute for Spiritual Formation is named in celebration of the lives of Asalene and Carl Lewis, the parents of our founder Rose A. McElrath-Slade, for their generosity, unselfishness, and commitment to serving their family. They built a strong foundation in their home and community which made “wholeness” possible.

The Lewis Institute for Spiritual Formation cultivates Spiritual Wholeness by enhancing Christian ministries, gathering the community for praise and worship services, interfaith dialogues, and theological study.

The Institute cultivates spiritual wholeness through:

  • Inviting collaboration among Christian ministries.

  • Hosting praise and worship services.

  • Coordinating interfaith dialogues.

  • Teaching biblical studies.
